Council is applying for grant funding to the Active Transport Fund to construct bicycle and shared pedestrian paths in Crookwell to improve road safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists and encourage people to walk and cycle to and from home to work, school, sport, park and events.
The proposed new shared bicycle and pedestrian paths on Warne, Wade, Denison and East Streets and Goulburn Road are in the concept plan below:

This project will provide shared bicycle/pedestrian path connections from local schools and residential areas to major sports and recreation precincts in Crookwell:
- Crookwell Aquatic Centre
- Crookwell Showground
- Lin Cooper Reserve (Soccer, Cricket, Tennis)
- Todkill Park
- Crookwell Golf Club
The shared bicycle/pedestrian path will run alongside the roads separate from motor vehicles and aims to:
- Improve pedestrian, cyclist, and motorist safety – especially for community accessing events and schools and community accessing sport and recreational activities.
- Better connect people to where they live, work and learn, reduce traffic-related air and noise pollution, and promote outdoor physical activity.
