Upper Lachlan Shire Council held their annual Cancer Council’s ‘Biggest Morning Tea’ last Tuesday.
On Tuesday, 19 May, Upper Lachlan Shire employees came together to raise much-needed funds for the Cancer Council, collecting $317.00 to support people impacted by cancer.
Council employees both indoor and outdoor coordinated two events with a BBQ breakfast and later in the afternoon, a BBQ lunch. All staff were able to donate and participate enjoying either a bacon and egg roll or sausage sizzle.
CEO Alex Waldron said “This has been an active event the past three years as part of Council’s WHS health and wellbeing initiatives. Council Health and Safety Leaders in the organisation wanted to bring Council employees together, to raise awareness and provide an opportunity to share stories about the real-life impacts of cancer” Upper Lachlan Shire Council is proud to continue supporting this worthy cause, helping to raise vital funds and help raise more awareness on the cause.
