The Council’s Crookwell and Gunning offices, libraries and works depots will be closed on the public holiday, Monday, 26 January 2026. In addition, the Crookwell Waste Facility will be closed on Monday, 26 January 2026, however all Council waste facilities will remain open as normal over the weekend with services to remain unchanged.
For the domestic waste pick up service please place your bins out for collection as normal. Please note: in Crookwell please place out your bin for collection on Sunday evening for Monday morning collection on 26 January 2026.
Crookwell and Gunning swimming pools opening hours will operate as normal the entire weekend and is open on the public holiday.
The Crookwell Visitor Information Centre (VIC) opening hours will operate unchanged over the weekend, from 10am – 2pm, however the VIC will be closed on the Monday, 26 January 2026, public holiday.
Community events are being held in Gunning and Crookwell to celebrate Australia Day festivities on Monday, 26 January 2026.
