Upper Lachlan Shire Council pools at Crookwell and Gunning have experienced a significant increase in attendance during the late December 2025 and January 2026 period, following a gentle start in November. The attendance figures highlight the growing popularity of both facilities as the summer progressed.
Crookwell pool welcomed 1,038 visitors in November, 1,329 in December, and an impressive 3,152 in January. Meanwhile, the Gunning pool recorded 464 attendees in November, 688 in December, and 2,096 in January. Overall, Crookwell pool attracted a total of 5,519 visitors, while Gunning saw 3,248 attendees over the three-month period.
The pools have also hosted a range of programs and events. Eight Swim and Survive programs were run for local schools, along with one school party and two swimming carnivals occurring in February 2026.
The popular Swimvac program was delivered at both Gunning and Crookwell in January 2026. Both sessions were fully booked and run by Royal Lifesaving, ensuring that participants received high-quality instruction and water safety education.
These figures highlight the value of the Council’s aquatic facilities as vital community hubs, offering recreational, educational, and social opportunities for residents of all ages.
