Council was pleased to support the Crookwell High School Careers Expo on Friday, 12 September. This event provided a platform for students, educators, and local organisations to connect and discuss future pathways. By participating in the Expo, Council reaffirmed its commitment to fostering education and career development within the community.
Upper Lachlan Shire Council, together with several other organisations, attended the Expo to highlight the diverse career opportunities available in regional and remote areas. Representatives from various sectors, including local government, trades, health, and higher education, were present to offer guidance and answer questions from students exploring their options.
Council took the opportunity to present the wide variety of roles across the organisation, including upcoming job openings. Information was provided about pathways into Council employment, such as traineeships, apprenticeships, and internships, which can serve as stepping stones for young people seeking to start their careers locally.
