In 2022 Crookwell Junior Cricket Association was successful in receiving $212,374 from the Stronger Country Communities Grant Fund.

In partnership with Upper Lachlan Shire Council the Crookwell Junior Cricket Association will be replacing and upgrading the cricket nets at Todkill Park.

CEO Alex Waldron said “Cricket is a popular sport across NSW, so it is fantastic that improvements to these facilities will be available for our younger generation to utilise. As part of this grant funding the existing nets that were 2 lanes will be increased in to 3 lanes.”

The Project is set to begin next week with the first stage involving the demolition of the existing structure and removal of the concrete slab. The following stages will be the removal of some of the pine trees located on the inside of Todkill Park to accommodate the extra lane as well as the installation of the new nets.

It is hoped these works will be completed by the end of October ahead of the summer season.
