Did you know that over 84% of Upper Lachlan Shire Council employees live within the Shire? As the emphasis on regional and remote employment opportunities grows, Upper Lachlan Shire Council is proud to be one of the largest employers in the area, offering a wide range of job opportunities across various professions.
While finding work in regional and remote areas can be challenging, Council is dedicated to supporting our community to both live and work in the area.
Council is committed to building and maintaining a sustainable workforce, Upper Lachlan Shire Council offers a variety of traineeships, apprenticeships and career pathways.
Council, through the NSW Government Fresh Start program, is currently investing in the creation of new apprenticeships, traineeships and cadetships in skill shortage areas such as Civil Construction, Motor Mechanic, Building Surveying, Engineering, Planning and Horticulture. These roles will help Council to address the critical need in these areas, keep jobs local, and reduce the need to outsource jobs to contractors.
This investment supports Council commitment to provide workforce development opportunities to our regional community, to help retain our youth, and allow people to find good jobs within their local area.
Upper Lachlan Shire Council is always looking for exceptional individuals to join the team. If you are interested in joining Council, please check the website for regularly updated job opportunities.
