On Monday 12 September Council’s outdoor road crews commenced work on the Onslow Road and Goulburn Road intersection (Kingsdale straight) in hopes to repair severely damage pavement which had been caused by high volumes of rain and increased traffic.
The annual average daily traffic for this road is approximately 3500 per day with 15% of those being heavy vehicles. With the school holiday period upon us crews worked tirelessly to turn the project around in a week wrapping the project on Monday 19 September, the improvements carried out included pave rehabilitations as well as a reseal and drainage works.
This was a Transport for NSW funded program, Council is pleased that these improvements have been implemented especially during peak season traffic with both the long weekend and school holidays occurring.
