PUBLIC EXHIBITION OF PLANNING PROPOSAL – REFERENCE: PP-2024-121

PROPERTY: LOT 4 DP 1198749 – 18 BOUREONG DRIVE GUNNING

Upper Lachlan Shire Council has received an alteration to the gateway determination for the above-mentioned property from the NSW Department of Planning.  The proposed alteration is to amend the Upper Lachlan Local Environmental Plan 2010 to rezone the land from RU4 Primary Production, Small Lots to:

  • RU5 Village
  • MU1 Mixed Use
  • C3 Environmental Management
  • RE1 Public Recreation

The proposal will also amend the minimum lot size controls from 10 hectares to 1,000m2 (RU5 zone), 4,000m2 (C3 Zone), No minimum lot sizes for MU1 or RE1 Zones.

You are invited to inspect the exhibition documents on Council’s website or on the NSW Planning Portal and make a written submission to Council by 4.00pm Friday 18 July 2025.  If an objection is made, the grounds of objection must be specified in the submission. Submissions can be made on the NSW Planning Portal or can be addressed to the CEO, Upper Lachlan Shire Council, PO Box 42, Gunning, NSW, 2581 or emailed to council@upperlachlan.nsw.gov.au.  All submissions will be reviewed and reported to the elected Council for consideration.

The Planning Proposal is categorised as standard as described in the Local Environmental Plan Making Guidelines.  The Minister has authorised Upper Lachlan Shire Council to exercise the functions of the local plan-making authority under section 3.36(2) of the EP&A Act.
