This media release includes details of a probable case of JEV from Murray River LGA (Murrumbidgee LHD) and a sentinel chicken seroconversion from Upper Lachlan Shire LGA (Southern NSW LHD).
Given the distance between these detections and favourable flavivirus conditions, the media release encourages vaccination in people across all high-risk LGAs and protection against mosquito bites.
