Upper Lachlan Shire Council CEO Alex Waldron and Mayor Paul Culhane met with Member for Goulburn Wendy Tuckerman MP today, 24th of July 2025.
It was a great opportunity to bring forward key topics and issues facing the Upper Lachlan Shire with our State Local Member, such as State Significant projects, including transmission lines and renewable energy projects.
This proactive and timely discussion showcases a collaborative and proactive approach to advocacy for the Upper Lachlan Shire community.
Following this meeting Council and Mrs Tuckerman MP also met with Transgrid representatives to discuss the Transgrid project.
Key discussion topics included:
- Temporary worker accommodation in Upper Lachlan for Transgrid construction workers
- Long-term legacy project commitments and ensuring HumeLink’s community benefits and investment grants meet the needs of our community
- Transgrids commitment to the improvement of telecommunications by providing boosters
- Ensuring road conditions are maintained during construction
