Upper Lachlan Shire Council – Christmas and New Year Closures
Please note the following operating hours and closures for Council facilities and services during the 2025/26 Christmas and New Year period.
Crookwell and Gunning Council Offices and Works Depots will close at 12pm on Friday, 19 December 2025 and will reopen on Monday, 5 January 2026.
Please note all waste transfer stations will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

| Gunning Library | Closed at 12pm on Friday, 19th December 2025 and will reopen at 2pm on Tuesday, 6th January 2026. |
| Visitor Information Centre | Closed at 12pm on Friday, 19th December 2025, Thursday 25th December, Friday 26th December 2025 & Thursday 1st January 2026. Open all other days during the holiday season. |
| Crookwell Waste Transfer Station | Closed on Friday 26th December 2025 |
| Taralga Waste Transfer Station | Closed on Thursday 25th December 2025 and Thursday 1st January 2026 |
| Crookwell and Gunning Pool | Closed on Thursday 25th December 2025 |
| Crookwell and Gunning Office and Works Depots | Closed at 12pm on Friday, 19th December 2025 and will reopen on Monday, 5th January 2026 |
Waste collection will proceed as usual except on these dates:
• Thursday, 25 December 2025 (Christmas Day)
• Thursday, 1 January 2026 (New Year’s Day)
Residents of Taralga, Grabben Gullen, and Golspie Road are advised to put their bins out on Tuesday night for collection on Wednesday. With additional pickups on Wednesday, please note that bin collection times may vary from the usual schedule.
