Council wishes to inform the community about Council Office and waste changes during the Easter and ANZAC period.
Transfer Stations:
Gunning Transfer station will operate as normal for the Easter weekend (Saturday and Sunday from 10 – 4pm) however will be closed Saturday 25 April and reopen Sunday 26 April for regular hours.
Taralga Transfer station will operate as normal for the Easter weekend (Saturday and Sunday from 10 – 4pm) however will be closed Saturday 25 April and reopen Sunday 26 April for regular hours.
Crookwell Transfer will be closed Friday 3 April (Good Friday) and Monday 6 April 2026 (Easter Monday) and Saturday 25 April (ANZAC Day) but will open for regular hours 10 – 4pm on Saturday 4 April, Sunday 5 April 2026 and Monday 27 April 2026
Collector and Bigga Transfer Stations will operate as normal for Sunday trading.
Garbage Services:
Residents are advised of the following changes to kerbside bin pick-up (garbage trucks) and street bins will continue to operate as normal throughout both periods.
Regular bin services will continue Friday 3 April (Good Friday), Monday 6 April (Easter Monday) and Monday 27 April (ANZAC Day – Public Holiday)
All other bin services will remain as normal.
Council Libraries:
Council libraries will be closed from Friday 3 April (Good Friday) – Monday 6 April 2026 (Easter Monday). Gunning and Crookwell libraries will reopen for regular hours on Tuesday 7 April.
The libraries will also be closed on Saturday 25th April – Monday 27 April for the ANZAC Day public holiday) and will resume regular hours on Tuesday 28 April 2026.
Council Offices and Service NSW:
Council offices and Service NSW locations will be closed on Friday 3 April (Good Friday), Monday 6 April 2026 (Easter Monday) and Monday 27 April (ANZAC Day – Public Holiday)
Visitors Information Centre:
The Visitors Information Centre will be closed on Friday 3 April (Good Friday), Sunday 5 April (Easter Sunday) and Saturday 25 April (ANZAC Day)
The Information Centre will open on Saturday 4 April, Monday 6 April and Monday 27 April from 10.00am – 2.00pm.
