Changed traffic conditions on the Hume Highway at Breadalbane

28-07-2025

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions next week as repair work begins on Collector Bridge on Breadalbane Road that spans over the Hume Highway at Breadalbane.

To preserve the bridge and its current load limit, repairs to strengthen the northbound bridge deck will be carried out from Friday 1 August for two months, weather permitting.

Northbound traffic will be diverted onto the southbound lanes via contraflow traffic control, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until work is complete, and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place.

Oversize over mass (OSOM) vehicles will need to use the allocated pullover bays and contact traffic control personnel via UHF channel 20 or call 0407 946 774 to arrange  access through the work site.

Motorists should allow five minutes’ additional travel time, drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.

Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
