Council invites Upper Lachlan residents to a free household goods disposal event at Waste Management Centres in Crookwell, Gunning, Taralga, Collector, and Bigga from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM!
You can bring:
Domestic waste
Furniture
E-waste (like TVs and computers)
Recyclables
Garden organics
One mattress per household for free disposal (additional charges apply for extra mattresses).
Standard fees for extra mattresses are:Single: $50
Double/Queen/King: $65
Mattress base: $20
Residents must provide proof of residency, such as a rate notice or driver’s license. Please remember, scavenging is not allowed, and the following items cannot be accepted: chemicals, tyres, asbestos, and some other hazardous waste.
Throughout the year, many items can also be disposed of for free, including scrap metal, oil, batteries, and yard waste. Printer cartridges and mobile phones can be recycled at Council offices or participating Australia Post locations at no cost.
