Council managed Crown Land Reserves categorisation

Council adopted the presented list of 20 properties with their categorisation of Community Land and resolved to advise the Minister for Local Government of the decision.

Collector amendment to the Local Strategic Planning Statements and Housing Strategy

Council amended the LSPS investigation map for Collector.

Community Consultation Character Statements and Master Plans

Council noted the community consultation program: –

  • Taralga – Tuesday 20 April 2021 (7pm) – Taralga Memorial Hall
  • Gunning – Thursday 22 April 2021 (7pm) – Gunning Council Chambers
  • Laggan – Tuesday 27 April 2021 (7pm) – Laggan Memorial Hall
  • Crookwell – Thursday 29 April 2021 (7pm) – Crookwell Memorial Oval Clubhouse

Integrated Planning and Reporting – Adoption of Draft Plans for Public Exhibition

Council, in accordance Sections 403-406, of the Local Government Act 1993, and Sections 8A-8C, of the Local Government Act 1993, place on public exhibition the following suite of draft plans:-

  • Operational Plan 2021/2022;
  • Delivery Program 2021/2022 – 2024/2025;
  • Resource Strategy documents including:-
    • Long Term Financial Plan 2021 – 2030;
    • Infrastructure Plan 2021 – 2030;
    • Workforce Plan 2021/2022 – 2024/2025.

The public exhibition period commences Wednesday, 21 April 2021 to Friday, 21 May 2021 inclusive, with copies of each plan available for viewing at Council administration offices, on Council’s website and a link is provided to Council’s Facebook Page.

Green Waste Collection

Council resolved to extend green-waste collection to twelve months of the year. Costs associated with the 12 month green-waste collection services to be charged as part of the domestic waste management charges. Council will continue to consider other recycling options in the waste service area.

ULSC Staff Organisation Restructure

  • Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee – Minutes from meeting held 17 March 2021.
    • The report on Council investment portfolio – received as noted.
    • The NSW Audit Office report on Procurement Management in Local Government – received and noted.
    • The report on the Local Government Code of Accounting Practice and Financial Reporting Code Update for 2020/2021 – received and noted.
    • The NSW Audit Office Final Management Letter on the external audit for the year ended 30 June 2020 – received and management responses with agreed timeframes noted.
    • Report on Risk Management and Internal Audit framework – received and noted.
    • The Committee Chairperson’s Report – received and noted.
  • Notice of resignation from Collector Oval 355 Committee – Terry Lovelock. Council resolved to write to Collector Oval 355 Committee accepting the resignation of Terry Lovelock.

Introduction of Hybrid Cars

Council resolved to investigate and consider the introduction of Hybrid vehicles as a transition to electronic vehicles in the future.

Electronic Vehicles (EV) charging stations

Council resolved to examine the option for EV charging stations within the Local Government Area.

Multipurpose Aquatic and Activities Centre

Council accepted Lloyd Group Pty Ltd for their Phase 1 Submission with a contract value of $2,717,816 (GST inclusive) for the construction of Outdoor pool, promenade and plant building for the Multipurpose Aquatic & Activity Centre – Crookwell.

Council allocate from unrestricted cash $785K to assist in funding Stage 1 for the Multipurpose Aquatic & Activity Centre – Crookwell.
