Changed Council services and operations – Christmas / New Year’s 2024-2025

The following is a list of changed services and operations for the Upper Lachlan Shire Council over the Christmas / New Year’s period.

Council Offices and Depots

The Crookwell and Gunning Offices and Depots of Upper Lachlan Shire Council will be closed from midday Friday 20 December 2024 and will reopen on Thursday 2 January 2025.
On-duty staff may be contacted for emergencies using Council’s phone number 4830 1000.

Crookwell Visitor Information Centre

The Crookwell Visitor Information Centre will operate as follows:

Friday 20 December 2024 – open from 9.00am -12.00pm
Monday 23 December 2024 – open from 9.00am – 4:00pm
Tuesday 24 December 2024 – open from 9.00am – 4:00pm
Wednesday 25 December 2024 – closed
Thursday 26 December 2024 – closed
Friday 27 December 2024 – open from 9.00am – 4:00pm
Saturday and Sunday December 2024 – open from 10.00am – 2.00pm
Monday 30 December 2024 – open from 9.00am – 4:00pm
Tuesday 31 December 2024 – open from 9.00am – 4:00pm
Wednesday 1 January 2025 – closed
Tuesday 2 January 2025 – reopen

Libraries

Upper Lachlan Shire Libraries will be closed over the holiday break. Crookwell and Gunning branches will close at 12pm on Friday 20 December 2024.
Both Libraries will reopen for their usual business hours on Thursday 2 January 2025.

Gunning – Wednesday 25 December 2024 – CLOSED
Crookwell – Wednesday 25 December 2024 – CLOSED

Waste collection alterations

Residents are reminded that collection times may vary and placing bins out the night prior ensures bins will be emptied.
