Collector community groups share in over $255,000 of Wind Farm Grants

Seven projects in the Collector area will benefit from a combined $255,108.90 in funding from the Collector Wind Farm Community Fund for 2023/2024.

The grants were assessed by the Collector Wind Farm Community Fund S355 Committee and were approved at the June 2023 Ordinary Meeting of Council.

Crookwell Wind Farm owner and operator Ratch-Australia supports the Fund with an annual financial contribution, as part of its ongoing commitment to local communities.

The grants will help to fund the following projects:

The Committee also considered the application submitted by the Collector Memorial Hall and will seek further clarification and quotes to support part-funding of the flooring component of their application.

Upper Lachlan Shire Council Chief Executive Officer Alex Waldron said the Fund provides grants to projects or initiatives that benefit the community within 10km of the wind farm.

“Wind Farm Grants make a significant contribution to their local communities in the Shire,” she said.

“These particular grants will make a significant impact on the village and community of Collector.”
