Crookwell Tip now accepting TVs, Computers and other eWaste

13-10-2023

The Crookwell Waste Facility is now a designated drop-off point for your surplus eWaste.

The term eWaste is used to describe TVs, scanners, printers, hard drive, computers, laptops, keyboards and other related accessories.

The eWaste initiative is part of the National Television and Computer Recycling Scheme (NTCRS) and the trial program commenced at the Crookwell Waste Facility on Friday 6 October.

Once the relevant items have reached their end of life, they are picked up from centres like the Crookwell Waste Facility and recycled into reusable materials. It’s worth noting, for security purposes, that ALL computer hard drives are securely destroyed.

The NTCRS Scheme is a compliant eWaste collection service and is supported by eCycle solutions, Planet Ark and Upper Lachlan Shire Council.

The Crookwell Waste Facility is located at 3848 Grabben Gullen Road, just out of Crookwell, and is open Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 4pm.
