Five community groups in the Upper Lachlan Shire will benefit from a combined $25,306 in funding boost under the Cullerin Range Wind Farm Community Fund in 2022/23.
The grants were assessed by the Cullerin Range Wind Farm Community Fund S355 Committee and were approved under Council resolution 168/22 at the July Ordinary meeting of Council.
Cullerin Range Wind Farm owner and operator EDL supports the Fund with an annual financial contribution, as part of its ongoing commitment to local communities.
The grants will help to fund the following projects:

Gunning District Community & Health Service Inc. | Electronic whiteboard for education and training and use for our group meetings and senior social groups | $6,000 |
Gunning Focus Group | Housing for Gunning’s new grand piano | $2,558 |
Gunning Pony Club | Gunning Pony Club equipment | $2,098 |

New Dalton Community & District Association Inc. | Soft fall for swing installation at Chapel Street Park, Dalton | $9,650 |

Upper Lachlan Shire Council General Manager Colleen Worthy said the Fund provides grants to projects or initiatives that benefit the community within 20km of the wind farm.
“The Wind Farm Grants make a significant contribution to their local communities in the Shire,” she said.
“It is very pleasing to see such a diverse group of projects being assisted by the Cullerin Range Wind Farm Community Enhancement Program in the 2022/2023 Grants.”
