Essential Energy’s Essential Grants Program

20-01-2025

Essential Energy will soon launch its Essential Grants program, with applications opening on Monday, 3 February 2025.

The program aims to support eligible community groups that contribute towards positive outcomes for regional communities.

Grants up to $15,000 are available for community-based initiatives supporting the environment, education, resilience, or the energy transition.

Eligible groups include not-for-profit organisations, charities and community groups located within Essential Energy’s network area.

Chief Executive Officer Alex Waldron said, “Grants like these are an excellent opportunity for our community to gain additional funds to support not-for-profit and volunteer groups.

With the current cost of living, it is vital that our community take full advantage of opportunities such as this.”

Since 2018, Essential Energy has contributed more than $1.1 million to 1,560 community groups through our previous Community Choices and Community Halls programs. The Essential Grants Program continues this support, focusing on initiatives that align with our corporate and sustainability strategies.

More information about the program can be found at essentialenergy.com.au/essentialgrants

Nominations will close on Monday, 31 March 2025.
