Up and down the main street of Gunning, there was pink as far as the eye could see.
Businesses were decorated, townsfolk were decorated, school kids were decorated… even rocky roads and assorted cakes were decorated.
The GUNNING GOES PINK initiative only came into being two weeks ago, and was aimed at raising awareness of, and money towards, breast cancer.
In that very short time frame, it has snowballed into an event that has captured the hearts and imaginations of the people of Gunning.
The event came about as a result of a staff member of the Gunning District Community Health Service being diagnosed with breast cancer, and her workmates wanting to help out in a practical way.
A major raffle was conducted on the day, and other fund-raising took place around town including a large amount raised by Gunning Public School.
Organisers Katie Yeo and Rebecca McCamish extended their heartfelt thanks to the entire Gunning Community for getting behind the event so generously.
They hope that it becomes an annual event and that it may result in a breast-testing van making visits to Gunning.
