Another successful exhibition was held at the Crookwell District Art Gallery over the weekend of Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 October 2023.
The exhibition, Hidden Gems, has successfully brought to light the hidden art works held in Council buildings across our Shire… works rarely seen by members of the public.
The exhibition featured an eclectic collection of artworks that spanned various mediums, from traditional painting to cutting-edge abstract creations and hand tinted photographs from the 1800’s.
The Works on display captivated visitors with their diversity and eclectic subject matter. Visitors from Bungendore, Canberra, Tumut and Braidwood as well as locals from across the Shire took this opportunity to enjoy these rarely seen works.
The success of the “Hidden Gems Art Exhibition” serves as a testament to the importance of providing our community with opportunities to share the creativity and enjoyment art can bring.
With the success of this exhibition it has been suggested that a selection of these art works could be displayed at other venues around our Shire.
