Crookwell was ‘abuzz’ on Thursday 13 October when a famous visitor stopped by our Shire.
Media personality and radio presenter Kyle Sandilands stunned the town of Crookwell as he walked down the main street taking in the sights. Mr Sandilands was visiting with Channel 7 film crews as they scouted for talent as part of the upcoming Australian Idol reboot.
During his visit the Crookwell Visitor Information Centre was lucky enough to meet and greet with Kyle and his team to hear about why they were here. But it’s all hush hush for now.
Manager Tourism and Economic Development Christiane Cocum said the visit from Kyle was a great way to end a Thursday because she was able to promote the Shire and talk about what was happening in the future in Tourism.
“He was engaging and really loved our town”, she said.
“He was humble to chat to, enthusiastic and supportive for the future Tourism events planned in our region.”
Mr Sandilands said he greatly enjoyed the Crookwell visit.
“Crookwell’s definitely been the highlight of our Australian Idol audition tour, I can’t wait to come back,” he said.
