New online community directory seeking updated information

28-06-2023

Upper Lachlan Shire Council has updated its online community directory, and is asking community organisations to help keep it up to date.

Council CEO Alex Waldron said that these sort of directories can easily fall out of date and become inaccurate.

“It’s the same in all organisations… there can be changes of personnel, changes of phone numbers and other details,” she said.

“Some elements some groups close down and new ones are created so a directory like this is a bit of a moveable feast and needs occasional updating.

“So we’re asking all community groups… sports, arts, service clubs, hobby groups… you name it… to cast their eye over Council’s online community directory and see if you notice any errors or any omissions and let us know.

“Maybe you need to change some of your committee positions or your contact person. You may have a new Facebook page. If you let us know of any changes we need to make, it will make it easier for people to find your organisation.”

Council is planning on incorporating a search function into the Community Directory which can be found at https://www.upperlachlan.nsw.gov.au/community/community-directory/.

If you have any changes or additions you want added, please send those details to chris.gordon@upperlachlan.nsw.gov.au.
