Draft Upper Lachlan Housing Strategy and Draft Upper Lachlan Development Control Plan – Notice of Public Exhibition Extended

Upper Lachlan Shire Council has received the gateway determination for the above-mentioned property from the NSW Department of Planning. The proposal seeks to amend the Upper Lachlan Local Environmental Plan 2010 to partially rezone land from R5 Large Lot Residential to R2 Low Density Residential, rezone SP2 Rail Infrastructure Facility zone to R5 Large Lot Residential, partially amend the minimum lot size from 2ha to 1000m2 and part to remain at 2ha.

In accordance with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (EP&A Act) the Planning Proposal will be on public exhibition from Wednesday 26 November 2025 to Monday 19 January 2026.

You are invited to inspect the exhibition documents on Council’s Website or on the NSW Planning Portal and make a written submission to Council by 4.00pm Monday 19 January 2026. If an objection is made, the grounds of objection must be specified in the submission. The Planning Proposal is categorised as standard as described in the Local Environmental Plan Making Guidelines. The Minister has authorised Upper Lachlan Shire Council to exercise the functions of the local plan-making authority under section 3.36(2) of the EP&A Act.
