PUBLIC NOTICE: Noise and firework impacts of CCW Concert

15-03-2023

As part of the Crookwell Country Weekend, a Concert featuring a number of performers will be staged at the centre of the Crookwell Showground on Saturday 18 March starting at 2.30pm and ending at 10.30pm.

The Concert will feature amplified singing, music and sound effects that may impact on neighbouring residences.

Fireworks are also scheduled to be part of the Concert, and will only go ahead depending on prevailing weather conditions and following approval from relevant fire authorities.

Should the fireworks go ahead, these will also cause noise impact on surrounding residences.

In particular, these sounds may distress pets and other animals and may cause some to wander from their usual locations.

The Concert, and the Family Festival the following day (Sunday 19 March) will also result in increased traffic and parking.

The Crookwell Country Weekend is a major event and tourism opportunity for the Upper Lachlan Shire Council. Council apologises for any inconvenience to residents of Crookwell over the course of the Weekend and appreciates your support.
