Two infrastructure projects got underway in Crookwell this morning, Thursday 23 June 2022.

Rehabilitation work is being undertaken at Robertson Lane (behind the service station) which will include a new seal. The Work is being led by Divalls Earthmoving and Bulk Haulage. Traffic Management will be in place.

Across town, north Crookwell’s stormwater is being upgraded, with the successful tenderer being local firm AJ Parsons Earthmoving. Machines, including an 8 tonne digger, started work at Gordon Park today.

Both jobs are expected to take around two months.

Project Manager Don Pilkington said both jobs were tendered for.

“One company is from Crookwell and one from Goulburn, but they are both using primarily local crews,” he said.

Meantime, elsewhere in the Shire engineering firm Bridge and Civil will be on-site and preparing final plans for the three Timber Bridges to be replaced across the bridges.

The Bridges, the last three to be replaced in the Shire are:

  • Peelwood Creek Bridge, Cooksvale Rd, Peelwood
  • Blue Hill Road Bridge, Burra Burra Creek, Golspie
  • Julong Rd 2 Bridge, Crookwell River, Binda
