Upper Lachlan Shire Council Supports Worthy Causes with the Biggest Morning Tea!

03-06-2025

Upper Lachlan Shire Council recently hosted a morning tea at all depots and sites at both Crookwell and Gunning.

This heartwarming event not only provided employees with the opportunity to enjoy a scrumptious breakfast featuring a variety of sweet and savory treats but also served a greater purpose by raising vital funds for the Cancer Council.

For several years, the Upper Lachlan Shire has proudly organised the annual tradition, and this year was an outstanding success, with the Council raising an impressive $527.95.

These generous contributions will significantly impact the community, helping to provide SunSmart education for 329 children, ensuring they know how to protect themselves from the sun. If not used for sun safety, the funds can facilitate seven valuable consultations with trained cancer professionals through the support service at 13 11 20  or contribute to four days of groundbreaking research led by a dedicated PhD student.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all our employees for their incredible generosity and support! Together, we are making a difference in the fight against cancer.
