Upper Lachlan Shire Council will be hosting a caravan / trailer / horse float weighing service conducted by the Sutton Road Training Centre on 26 August 2023.
The service is aimed at increasing road safety and, in particular, increasing the knowledge of drivers towing heavy loads behind their vehicles and who may not be aware of the limitations, legalities and dangers of the activity.
Drivers have the opportunity to have their vehicle and caravan / trailer / horse float combination weighed with a report provided. Weight limitations and correct loading techniques are explained during the process.
The weighing service will be performed at the Crookwell Showground. The cost is $200 per vehicle combination, payable on the day by cash or by eftpos.
Available bookings are as follows:
- 3 bookings available for an 8am start.
- 3 bookings available for a 10am start.
- 4 bookings available for a 1pm start.
