Works Update – 22 November 2023

The following are roadworks commenced, completed or continued in the week ending 17 November, and those scheduled for the week ending 24 November 2023.

Week ending Fri 17 November 2023:

Construction Crew:

  • Gravel resheeted Kennedy Road
  • Urban Road seal preps and maintenance grade Grange Road 

Drainage and Concrete Crew:

  • Storm damage repairs to Brayton Road causeway and drainage maintenance

Week ending Fri 24 November 2023:

Construction crew:

  • MR54 Crookwell to Goulburn Road heavy patch program
  • Wheeo Road rehab and construction

Drainage and Concrete Crew

  • Storm damage repairs to Brayton Road causeway and maintenance drainage

Maintenance Crew:

  • Edge Break Repairs – MR256 (Taralga-Oberon Road)
  • Drainage Works on Shire Roads

Maintenance Grading Crew

  • Reids Flat Road
  • Foggs Crossing Road
  • Hewitts Lane
  • Turkey Hill Road

Major projects

MR54 – Works are continuing on the Natural Disaster / Slip area North of Tuena.

  • Earthworks, SO kerb and hydro-mulching works were completed on Friday 10th November.
  • Asphalting was completed on Tuesday 14th.
  • Guardrail is programed to be installed next Wednesday 22nd
  • The road will continue to have 1 lane closed and under traffic lights day and night until work is completed.

MR54 – Asphalt patching of damaged pavement on the Hairpin bends leading to the Abercrombie River was completed on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th November.

MR54 – Drainage natural disaster remediation works move to South of Tuena on Monday the 20th and near James Park road on the 22nd November.

The works will take approximately 1 more week, with 1 lane closed during the day only for these works to be completed.

MR54 – Heavy patching will commence between Alison Hone Reserve and Woodhouselee Road the Week of the 20th November.

The works will take approximately 1 week, with 1 lane closed during the day for these important works to be completed.

MR54 – Drainage natural disaster remediation works between Sooley Creek and Pejar dam are programed to commence on Monday 4th December.

The works will take approximately 1 more week, with 1 lane closed during the day only for these works to be completed.

MR54 – Maintenance crew continue to attend to priority maintenance issues as they arise.
