Works Update – 29 November 2023

The following are roadworks commenced, completed or continued in the week ending 24 November, and those which were scheduled for the week ending 1 December 2023.

Week ending Fri 24 November 2023:

Construction Crew:

MR241 REHAB

  • Vegetation control completed
  • Earthworks and clearing completed on first 1km
  • Culverts completed on first 1km
  • Started spreading and compacting gravel

Maintenance Crew:

  • Pot hole pairs and edge breaks to Bannister Lane, MR52 South and Gurrundah Road
  • Temporary culvert extension and headwall, Gurrundah Road

Week ending Fri 1 December 2023:

Construction crew:

  • Repairs to Court Street Taralga
  • Drainage Works – Brayton Road
  • MR54 Pipe Upgrade – Tuena

Major projects

MR54 – Works are almost complete on the Natural Disaster / Slip area North of Tuena.

  • Earthworks, SO kerb and hydro-mulching works were completed on Friday 10th November.
  • Asphalting was completed on Tuesday 14th.
  • Guardrail was completed Wednesday 22nd
  • The road is now open in both directions with speed restrictions removed.

MR54 – Drainage natural disaster remediation works move to near James Park road and will be completed on Monday 27th November.

MR54 – Heavy patching commenced between Alison Hone Reserve and Woodhouselee Road the Week of the 20th November. The works will continue this week, weather dependant, with 1 lane closed during the day for these important works to be completed.

MR54 – Drainage natural disaster remediation works between Sooley Creek and Pejar dam are programed to commence on Monday 4th December. The works will take approximately 1 week, with 1 lane closed during the day only for these works to be completed.

MR54 – Culvert replacement of 2 pipelines in Tuena Village is programed to start on Monday 4th December. The works will take approximately 2 weeks, with 1 lane closed during the day only for these works to be completed.

MR54 – Maintenance crew continue to attend to priority maintenance issues as they arise.
