Upper Lachlan Shire Council has commenced the Towards 2042 consultation, across the local government area, with a survey available to be completed online at Council’s Have Your Say webpage.
Through the Towards 2042 project, Council will guide the community through important discussions on the main aspirations and priorities for our local government area for the next 20 years and document these in a Community Strategic Plan.
“I encourage everyone to get involved and to have their say. Thank you for everyone who has completed the survey, Council has had a great response with 206 survey responses already received for our Shire. Please note the deadline for completing the survey is 15 March 2024” Mayor Pam Kensit said.
Towards 2042 which will shape the future of our community asks the local community some key questions so that we can review our Community Strategic Plan and makes sure it is an accurate representation of our future.
Council has a custodial role in initiating and preparing the Community Strategic Plan, but it is a community plan. Many partners, such as State Agencies and community groups, will be partners with Council in its implementation. The Community Strategic Plan ensures the community is working towards a shared vision for a better future.
