CROOKWELL MAIN STREET TREE SURVEY

06-05-2024

Council wishes to thank the community for their input into the recent tree survey.

The survey contained a number of different species and a further option for no trees. Option 5 allowed people to suggest/propose an alternative tree.

The predominate species suggested from option 5 of the survey was to consider the inclusion of Japenese elms.

Council’s parks and gardens team assessed the suitability of the Japanese Elm (Zelkova) and found that it was an appropriate choice for the proposed location in Crookwell’s main street.

The survey results and suggestions from option 5 (alternative/proposed) were taken into consideration by Councillors when making their resolution.
