NSWRFS holding Get Ready events this weekend

14-09-2022

With the bush fire season right around the corner, many NSW Rural Fire Service brigades will be holding Get Ready Weekend events this weekend.

More than 500 brigades are taking part in Get Ready Weekend, sharing information about how to get ready for bushfire season.

It’s a chance to chat to your local volunteers, find out more about what they do, and learn how to protect yourself and your home from bushfires.

This year it also provides an opportunity to find out more about the new Australian Fire Danger Rating System and many brigades will also have activities for kids.

This year’s Get Ready Weekend will primarily be held on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September, with some brigades holding the event in the following weeks.

You can check to see what activities are being held at this link.
