Roads to Recovery – Redground Road Upgrade Completed

28-04-2026

Upper Lachlan Shire Council is pleased to announce the completion of a key road infrastructure project, with a 1-kilometre section of Redground Road now upgraded from unsealed to sealed.

The upgrade has been delivered as part of the Australian Government’s Roads to Recovery Grant Program and covers the section between Redground Heights Road and Diamond Road. The project was completed on budget, with a total investment of $400,000.

The scope of works mirrored the successful Woodhouselee Road upgrade and included clearing and grubbing, drainage improvements, earthworks, bitumen sealing and construction of a new road pavement.

CEO Alex Waldron said “The project delivers significant benefits for local residents and road users. This upgrade provides a safer, more reliable road surface and improves access for the community, particularly during wet weather”

Council are pleased to see execution of this project as it demonstrate Council’s continued commitment to maintaining and improving the shires road network, while making the most of available funding opportunities.

Final works, including signage and line marking, will be completed in the coming weeks. Council thanks the community for their patience during construction and looks forward to delivering further improvements across the local road network.
