Council would like to thank community members who attended a series of drop-in information sessions to learn more about the Draft Housing Strategy and Draft Development Control Plan (DCP) to provide feedback on the proposed planning documents last week.
The sessions, held in Crookwell, Gunning, Collector and Taralga, gave residents, landowners and other interested stakeholders the opportunity to speak directly with Council staff and planning consultants, ask questions and gain a better understanding of the proposed planning documents.
The sessions generated valuable discussion, with attendees sharing local knowledge, raising questions and providing constructive feedback that will help inform the final documents.

Council reminds residents there is still time for residents to have their say, with written submissions on the Draft Housing Strategy and Draft Development Control Plan closing at 5.00pm on Wednesday, 26 August 2026.
Community members are encouraged to review the exhibition documents via Council’s website and lodge a submission.
All feedback received during the public exhibition period will be carefully considered before the Draft Housing Strategy and Draft Development Control Plan are presented to Council for formal adoption.
Council thanks everyone who has already participated in the consultation process and encourages anyone who has not yet had their say to make a submission before the exhibition closes.
